Flat-Rate Pricing for Additional Work
Our flat-rate Pro Support Packages cover the bulk of support needs and allow our clients to budget accordingly. However, Additional Work is sometimes necessary and until now has always been billed hourly. With our recent investment in powerful support and implementation tools we're happy to announce flat-rate pricing for more of our services.

New Mac Setup: Designer
Take the hassle out of setting up a new computer. We will fully set up and configure your computer system for proper functionality. A Forget Computers Technician will:
- Unbox and setup up your computer system.
- Run Software Update and prepare machine for remote support.
- Register AppleCare.
- Install, update, record and label all Mac software (Windows software is not included).
- Install Adobe CS and organize fonts as per office font management policy.
- Configure and test Internet connection, e-mail account and printing.
- Configure for office backup system.
- Test workstation for proper functionality.
- Transfer up to 100GB of data from the old machine. Additional data transfer is $99 per 100GB. Repurposing the old machine is not included.
New Mac Setup: Non-Designer
A new Mac setup for a non-designer is the same as for a designer, but excludes Adobe and font installation.
Install Windows on Mac
If you have an Intel-based Mac and you absolutely must run Windows then we will install, patch, configure and test Parallels or Fusion running a Windows OS. We will continue to support Parallels or VMWare via our Help Desk. However, all Windows support is billed hourly or through our Windows support package. Software and Printer setup in Windows not included.
Mac OS Upgrade
Upgrade from Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 to Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6. This is a remote install and a modern Mac running Mac OS X Server software is required.
Software Suite & Single Application Install or Upgrade
Software updates (free patches) are included free-of-charge as part of a Pro Support package. However, new software or purchased upgrades are considered Additional Work. Software Installation covers one application. Software Suite Installation covers multiple applications in a suite (such as Adobe Creative Suite). In both cases we will install, configure, update your software and provide ongoing support via our Help Desk. Software not included.
New Printer Setup
We've supported several office printers over the years, so we know what works. Contact us before buying your next printer and we'll help you choose the best one for your office. New printer setup is priced per OS (for example, adding a new printer to five Macs and two Windows machines at the Standard rate would be $203, or 7 x $29). Setup includes working directly with your print vendor before the sale and during configuration to ensure everyone can print successfully.
New User Setup
Save money by contacting us early the next time you hire someone. Setup includes modifying an existing, managed workstation in preparation for the new user, plus setting up server, email and VPN accounts, if applicable.
